Can't get enough of this game!
So I'm a big fan of the boardgame geek community. It's a huge database of all boardgames past and present. They also have a great community and their forums can answer just about any question you may have in regards to playing a game. I've also gotten a lot of tips for organizing the game components. Check out their site!
I got to play Small World for the first time this weekend. I knew about it for a while now and watched some videos of it online but never actually got to sit down and play a game of it. Let's just say it's all what it's cracked up to be. The best mechanic of the game is the random races and abilities so no two games are alike. This was an instant buy :)
My work paid for a trip to Chicago to help set up their equipment. While there some co-workers and I explored the city. Trying various food and drinks. My last trip to Chicago was back in 2008 and a lot has changed. I also got to explore a part of the city I didn't really get to see last time. The gritty side of Lake View off Clark St. Needless to say I had a great time and would love to go back soon. Chicago is such a strange city. It's a big coastal size city but with midwest charm. I can't imagine another city like this to exist...ever.
